For my money, there are few things as beautiful as a breaking storm, especially here among the dramatic Southwestern landscapes.

On this particular day in late October, a series of storm cells made their way across Northern Arizona. And much of my time spent that day was waiting.

Waiting in the gloom for the storm clouds to break enough to let the sunshine through. Sunshine that sets a contrast with the stormy shadows. A contrast revealing that our world is of yin and yang, that we can’t have darkness without the light, and vice versa.

Since its Friday, we’ll keep this Daily Dose a short one. And for those that will wonder, I took this photo at Oak Creek Vista in between Sedona and Flagstaff.

Peace,

-Jake
