The Old Coconino County Courthouse was originally constructed in 1894 and 1895. An addition was added to the back in 1925, and a much larger modern addition in 2002 that now serves as County Justice Court.

A two-story building constructed of local red Moenkopi Sandstone, the courthouse was built by H Clements & Company of Los Angeles, California. It was designed by architect J. N. Preston, and was designed in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. The Courthouse has been restored to its 1925 appearance.
