…Cool wind in my hair.

Okay, obviously I borrowed those words from Glenn Frey and Don Henley of the Eagles. And yeah, it’s kind of cheesy. But you know what, I love pairing my photos with the words from old rock songs.

My friend Paul tells told me I’m an old soul. And I believe that it’s true.

I love contemplating history and reading books and listening music made before I was born. Most of my friends, Paul included, are old enough to be one of my parents.

It’s who I am and if you’re here, you’re probably an old soul too, regardless of what age you are.

People like us see the beauty in nature and danger in money and the value in peace and quiet. And we know the therapeutic power of a walk in the woods or a drive on a desert highway.

And that’s what I sought to capture with this photo. The simple pleasure of feeling the vibration of tires on pavement as you clutch the steering wheel and let your worries fade away as Don Felder and Joe Walsh trade guitar solos over the speakers.

To all old souls like you and I, let’s keep it rolling. The world needs people like us.
